Flaked Oats

Rolled/Flaked Oats. Pre-gelatinized so it does not need a cereal mash. Will add silky body and help with head retention. **NOTE** Addition of flaked grains to your mash can add difficulty to lautering. Consider adding rice hulls to your mash when using to increase efficiency, lautering speed, and to avoid stuck sparges.
Flaked Rice

Popular adjunct used in many light lagers due to its ability to create fermentable sugars without increasing color, body, or flavor. Very neutral. Must be mashed with distatic barley malt to obtain starch conversion.
Flaked Rye

Hot rolled, flaked, and partially gelatinized. Flaked rye Imparts a dry, crisp character and strong rye flavor. Use from 5-10% to see how it suits your recipe and taste. Use at no more than 40% for an adjunct heavy beer, but be aware of how sticky the mash may become. Rice hulls are recommended.
