Honey Malt draws inspiration from the traditional German "brumaltz" process, where germinating grains are oxygen-deprived to trigger distinctive chemical changes before kilning. The kilning temperature matches that of our Light Munich malt. This results in prominent sweet flavors reminiscent of maple syrup and fig, concluding with subtle hints of black tea and oak tannins. It's an excellent choice for enhancing the complexity of classic Belgian Dubbel or English Brown ales.
